Construction of New Building Begins

The journey of your career begins today

Construction work on the new building which will house the School of Pharmacy, School of Engineering and School of Education is schedule to begin on June 1, 2014. The building which has a total of six halls, three offices and two laboratories is designed by architects from Royal Architecture – a world class design and construction company owned and managed by AIC Engineering Instructor Mr. Lovett Nfecho. According to CEO of Royal Architecture, the design was conceived into consideration with the need the need to incorporate of modern technology in the learning/teaching process. The building which can take between 700 and 800 students has inbuilt internet capabilities, projection board for classrooms, and projected space for Solar panels.  This building is part of ongoing effort by the administration of AIC to provide the most conducive environment possible for students.

Free Summer Computer Academy
The Free Summer Computer Academy organized by the School of Engineering and Computer Sciences at the American Institute of Cameroon is a spectacular academic program that offers youth the opportunity to receive excellent training through a unique blend of lectures from AIC Professors, Visiting Professors and Experienced Professionals. SumCA targets young people and high school students from rural communities where knowledge of computer and its applications/uses is still limited. The program is part of an effort by AIC to open up rural communities to trends in the global community. Students will learn computer basic in software and hardware and will also be given opportunities to connect to social media sites like facebook, twitter and skype. The program also has excursions to famous landmarks and tourist attractions. In a few weeks, students get an in-dept understanding of computer science, education, social media, culture and ethics, environment, and meet friends from all over the world.
